Don't let back pain ruin your Spring!

It’s spring in Michigan and that means finally leaving the comforts of the couch and television and heading outdoors to the golf course, the backyard, and the pool. However, all these activities can unfortunately come with back pain-and you’re not alone if you suffer with it. Approximately 80% of all Americans will have back pain at least once in their lives.

Physical exercise (which most of us do more of in the spring) is a major cause of back pain. Sometimes the pain can go away on its own-but if you have numbness or tingling, if your pain is severe and doesn’t improve with medications and rest, or if you have pain after a fall or an injury, it may be best to go see a back pain specialist in Lansing, Michigan. It is also important to see a doctor if you have pain along with any of the following problems: trouble urinating, weakness, pain, or numbness in your legs, fever, or unintentional weight loss.

It’s always a safe bet to see a back pain specialist when in doubt-that way you can enjoy your spring as fully as possible and hopefully plant even more flowers that last year.
